According to Gabe Newell, CEO of Valve is sure is. Valve is a gaming software company that created hit games like Half-Life 2, Counter Strike, Portal and Left 4 Dead. Mr. Newell is so disappointed with what Windows 8 has to offer for the gaming world that he want's to support Linux instead. Further more, he also believes, that some of the top PC-OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturer) will exit the market for the lack of consumer demand.

What you guys think, could it be that bad?

Maybe Google pay him some big money

It's impossible to predict the future in IT world, but one thing is for sure. 2012 will be one of the most fascinating years in computing world, because Nokia, Microsoft, Apple and Google will introduce new big things.

One of them will be iPhone 5, next one will be Nokia's WP8 phone and MS will start with Windows 8 all over the world.

Somehow I doubt that Microsoft doesn't find gaming important and on the other side there is still a lot to be done on Linux to be attracted by gamers.

My opinion is that there must be something else behind his statement.
