3D printing is on a rise these days, but how about 3D drawing of real objects with a pen? 3Doodler is a pen that is using the same plastics (ABS or PLA) as used in 3D printers.

You can draw stuff on a surface.



Or you can draw things literally right into the air.



The melted plastic "ink" that is coming out of the 3Doodler, is cooled by an integrated fan and it turns solid almost instantly. This is how the pen looks like.

3Doodler is raising funds on Kickstarer and they long surpassed their set goal of $30,000 with still 33 days to go.
