1.

Connect your N9 to a Windows 7 computer with the USB cable.

It's the same cable you are using for charging the N9.

2.

You should now see USB device connected on the Nokia N9 screen.

Tap Use as mass storage option.

3.

If you get the Can't connect to USB while your mobile's memory is in use message, go to the next step, if you get a successful USB connect message then go to step 6.

4.

We need to close the active apps that are taking the memory first.

Swipe to your active applications screen then tap and hold it ...

5.

... and tap the Close all button to close all the active apps.

Now disconnect the USB cable from your N9 and put it back in, and again choose the Use as mass storage option.

Phone should now successfully connect to the computer as an USB storage device.

6.

Now open Windows Explorer, look for the new storage drive named Nokia N9 and click to open it.

Drive I: called Nokia N9 in my case.

7.

In the DCIM folder you will find all the Photos and Video taken with your Nokia N9 camera.

You can simply select and copy the ones you would like to have stored on your computer.

8.

And in the Pictures folder you can find the native N9 pictures and screenshots made with the ShotMee app.

Click here if you want to know how to capture screen of your Nokia N9.
