How to reduce Word document size
If your you think your Word document size on a disk is too large, you can reduce it by compressing the images.

Open the Word document which size you want to reduce and click one of its images.
|
|
|

|
Click Picture Tools that appeared in the menu as you clicked an image.
|

Click Compress Pictures button.
|
|
|

In the Compress Pictures window, uncheck the Apply to this picture option.
This way not only the picture you clicked on will be compress but all the other pictures as well.
Choose the E-mail (96 ppi): minimize document size for sharing option.
Click OK.
And that's it. The document size reduction depends on how many picture are in the document and of the amount of the compression the pictures were already subjected to.
