Flash Android with Odin

In this lesson we will learn how to flash and update Samsung Android smartphone to a newer version with Odin.

This tutorial is meant for Samsung Android phones.

to download Odin 1.85 rooting program.

Put your phone into Download mode.

To put the phone in a download mode press Power + Home button + Volume down button at the same time (see picture).

This guide is made for Samsung Galaxy Ace. If you have a different Samsung Android phone please check sammobile.com.

And in case you don't own a Samsung phone, Google seach the following: "stock rom my_phone". Instead of my_phone enter the type of your phone.

Your phone should be in Download mode.

Connect your phone to your computer with USB cable.

Start up the Odin software, and if you phone is connected first block will be painted in yellow. If not disconnect and reconnect the phone again.

Load up the OPS file.

And click Open

 
 
5.
 

Now load One Package file.

And click Open.

 
 
6.
 

Insert files will be checked.

 
 
7.
 

You are ready to go.

Press Start.

New operating system is installing ...

Don't touch your phone. If you do anything on it you can brick it, meaning you could have a hard time making it work again.

System is installed on my Android phone.

Installation time depends on you computer performance.

In my case I have updated my Android phone from 2.3.3 version to 2.3.6.
