The new Facebook messaging option brings a possibility for a more personal social communication between the business or a brand and their customers or so called fans in Facebook lingo.
For the communication the first message must be initiated by a fan, after that it works in both ways, so the company can then contact a fan at any time.
If the collateral damage of this new feature will be reflected as a reduced public communication on company pages, remains yet to bee seen.
