Improve the protection of passwords in Firefox

By setting the master password in Firefox we can prevent easy access to our stored passwords. This is one of the methods how we can improve our protection.

As we have seen in the below-mentioned lesson, Firefox allows us easy access to our stored passwords.

However, if we want to improve safety, it is advisable to turn on the master password, which you will need to type before you will be able to access to all your other saved passwords.

Click Firefox button and select Options.

Select Security.

Mark Use a master password option.

Set any password.

 
 
6.
 

If you click now on Saved Passwords..., you will be prompted to enter master password first.

Master password window will also apear when you will visit sites where your passwords were automatically stored.

It is recommended to turn this option on for better protection.
