Sky like in Mordor Photoshop Tutorial

If you like the Lords of the Rings movie trilogy, then you might also like this Photoshop tutorial, where we will make a dramatically red sky on a random photograph.

Open any photograph with on it.

I have opened a photograph of a swamp and moutains in back.



Also recommended:

Now click on Create new fill or adjutment layer and select Solid Color...

Select a orange color and press OK.

Set blending mode to adjustment layer to Color Burn.

Now click on mask thumbnail of a new adjustment layer (see the pic).

Select Gradient Tool (G).

Select black and white gradient and then choose Linear Gradient.

Now drag with mouse from bottom to top to reveal the back layer like I did.

Maybe you might drag the mouse the opposite way.

Click above on Layer, New Adjustment Layer and choose Curves...

When asked, press OK to name the new adjustment layer.

Then set the same curved line like I did and press OK.

Click above on LayerNew Adjustment Layer and choose Color Balance...

When asked, press OK to name the new adjustment layer.

Then set the same settings like I did and press OK.

Set blending mode to adjustment layer to Darken.

Now click on mask thumbnail of adjustment layer (see the pic).

Now drag with mouse from bottom to top to reveal the back layer like I did.

Maybe you might drag the mouse the opposite way.
