How to count an average in Google spreadsheet

With this function we can easily calculate the average in any column. We can also copy formula into another column to calculate the average.

1.
 

Open any document or create new one in Google Docs.

Click Functions icon above...

...and select AVERAGE.

 
 
4.
 

The function is inserted in selected cell.

Now select the cells for which you want to calculate the average and press ENTER.

 
 
5.
 

The average is calculated.

Now we will also calculated average for the second column.

Select the cell where you just calculated the average and press Ctlr + C to copy the formula.

 
 
6.
 

Now select the cell where you want to calculate the average for the second column and press Ctrl + V.

 
 
7.
 

The average for the second column is calculated.
