When chatting or talking in Skype, look for the + (Add, send and share...) button and click it.
You can share the desktop with a single person or with the whole conference group. If you are using a Mac look for the similar + button, it's there as well.

Choose Share screens... option.
|

Click Start to confirm your screen sharing.
|
|
|

|
You are now sharing your desktop - notice the red frame around the desktop.
People you chose to share your desktop with, see the very same thing you see which can be really useful if you want them to demonstrate something in real time.

To stop sharing your desktop, click Stop sharing button.
