Play a sound when I get messages from someone
You will learn hot to play a sound in Outlook, when messages arrive from any person you will select from contacts or entered e-mail.

... and then Manage Rules & Alerts button.

When new windows appears, click New Rule...
|
|
|

Wizard for rules will open.
Click Play a sound when I get messages from someone.
|

Under in Step 2 field now click on people or public group link.
|
|
|

|
In a new window select a contact if you have any or type e-mail address for which are you stetting up the rule.
Confirm the selection or typed e-mail.

After that click in a sound link.
|
|
|

|
|
Explorer window will open where you can select random sound.
Only .wav files are possible this moment.
|
|
|

|
|
Click on Finish to end your rule.
|
|
|

|
|
Outlook will warn with a message the rule will run only when program will be opened.
So, if you want to hear the sound when message arrives from someone, you shouldn't close Outlook.
